A site walk-through will be happening at CERL at 2:00 P.M. on 01/13/2025. This meeting will be held at following address: 2902 Newmark Drive, Champaign IL 61822. All attendees will meet at the guard gate (off Newmark Drive) and check-in together when entering the building. Representatives of the Owner and the Professional Services Consultant will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.

Description

Description

This project will replace the Building #2 East Side AHU (AHU 2-6) at the Construction Engineering Lab (CERL). Room 2169 has an exisitng air handling unit suspended from the underside of the roof trusses. This AHU is nearing the end of its useful life and is creating enough noise that it disrupts the testing and research of the Acoustics Lab. Additionally, it is difficult to access the existing AHU and maintain it since it is suspended from the roof.

Refer to Division 01 of the technical specifications for a complete, detailed breakdown of the base bids and alternates for this project.

This project includes a Project Labor Agreement that will be executed between the lowest responsible/responsive bidder and the East Central Illinois Building and Construction Trades Council. A copy of the Project Labor Agreement is included at the end of Section 00 90 00.
