Site Visit Information
The Bidder, before submitting a bid for this Work, shall visit and carefully examine
the site of the Work in order to have full knowledge of, and to fully understand and
appreciate, the facilities, difficulties, and restrictions attending the performance of the
contract for which a bid is submitted. The Bidder shall take all required measurements and
carefully inspect all existing conditions, constructions, irregularities, and interferences
which may affect the Work under this contract.

(C) Eastern Engineering Only
Description
The project scope includes; planning, design, bid/award, construction phase, and warranty
services for select restroom renovations in Children’s Research Center, Natural Resources
Building and Education Building. Scope will include replacement of outdated mechanical,
electrical and plumbing services, toilet partitions, fixtures, equipment, doors hardware and
finishes to match the current Facility Standards for quality and energy efficiency and
provide more efficient mop sinks. Reconfiguration, including expansion of restroom, is also
needed to conform to the American Disabilities Act (ADA) and the user’s occupancy
requirements.
Refer to Division 01 of the technical specifications for a complete, detailed breakdown of
the base bids and alternates for this project.
This project includes a Project Labor Agreement that will be executed between the lowest
responsible/responsive bidder and the East Central Illinois Building and Construction
Trades Council. A copy of the Project Labor Agreement is included at the end of Section
00 90 00.
