A mandatory virtual pre-bid conference for all parties interested in
bidding the project will be held at 10:00 AM on 2/8/2024 on a Zoom call-in telephone
number 312-626-6799, Meeting ID: 835 7300 7379, Password:1867. Representatives of
the Owner and the Professional Services Consultant will be present to answer questions
regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are REQUIRED to
attend.

on 2/29/2024.
Electronic bids will be electronically opened and publicly

Meeting ID: 838 1572 6700, Password:1867 and tabulated. A recording of the bid
opening is available upon request.
Site Visit Information
The Bidder, before submitting a bid for this Work, shall visit and carefully
examine the site of the Work in order to have full knowledge of, and to fully understand and
appreciate, the facilities, difficulties, and restrictions attending the performance of the
contract for which a bid is submitted. The Bidder shall take all required measurements and
carefully inspect all existing conditions, constructions, irregularities, and interferences
which may affect the Work under this contract.
Description
At Newmark Civil Engineering Building (0024), replace Distribution System A and
Distribution System B located in the basement. Both systems are to be combined into one
new substation with downstream distribution. Provide a new emergency generator for
existing emergency loads.At Rehabilitation Education Center (0176), remove substation in
Room 020. Current substation is 4160V - 208Y/120V and 208Y/120V panelboard with
600A main breaker and a 300kVA transformer. New service to come from pad mount
transformer on the west side of the building. New secondaries will be installed from
transformer to Room 020. In Room 020, new transformer and panelboard will be installed.
Refer to Division 01 of the technical specifications for a complete, detailed breakdown of
the base bids and alternates for this project.
This project includes a Project Labor Agreement that will be executed between the lowest
responsible/responsive bidder and the East Central Illinois Building and Construction
Trades Council. A copy of the Project Labor Agreement is included at the end of Section
00 90 00.
